Fred Pike Memorial Trophy


Round 8 of the Snowbee Top Rod 2020 was at Blagdon Lake near Bristol Airport.


Weather was a beautiful sunny day for the time of year and temperatures around 22-25 degrees with light southerly winds.


14 anglers made the trip and caught fish in all areas of the lake.

14 anglers caught 85 fish for a bag weight of 191LBS 7OZ.


Average catch 6.07 fish and average weight was 2.26LBS.


Best fish of the day went to Chris Bolt of Kingsteignton with a fine rainbow of 4LBS 6OZ, picture below.


7 anglers caught their 8 fish limit.

Today was also the Fred Pike Memorial Trophy which Alex Venn picks up.


The prize for the best fly caught pike was won by Bill Hande of Dawlish at 22 inches.


Darren Penfold won the raffle draw prize.
