Notice of EGM - April 30th Chudleigh Town Hall.
The committee of Kennick Fly Fishers Association is writing to inform you that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on 30th April 1930 at Chudleigh Town Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to ask members to approve a proposal for the club to change its legal structure and become a Company Limited by Guarantee. This change is intended to better protect the club and its volunteers, particularly as the club has taken on greater responsibilities such as managing the boats and organising competitions and other activities.
Professional advice has been taken from Westcotts Chartered Accountants in Exeter, who have extensive experience in this area, as well as guidance from the Angling Trust.
Attached is a short FAQ document explaining the proposal and what it means for members.
Members will be asked to vote on the proposal at the EGM. We encourage you to read the document and attend the meeting if possible.
