Snowbee Top Rod Competition April 27th - Wimbleball Boat

Round 3 of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was at Wimbleball reservoir, high on Exmoor near Brompton Regis.

Weather forecast was a generally sunny day at 17 degrees with a light South Westerly wind.

14 anglers made the trip, having stopped for breakfast at Brewers Fayre in Exeter on the way.

We were met at the lake by Mark who sorted out the boats and lifejackets for us and we were out on the water by 0930. All the boats were booked out, so was a busy morning.

Wimbleball is 375 acres in size and 7 boats soon went to all areas of the lake to fish.

Fish were caught in all areas of the lake, Ruggs, Bessoms, Cow Moor, The Dam and Upton Arm all produced fish.

Best tactics were Floating line and diawl bachs and Fabs or Intermediate and DI3/5 with pulled lures.

6 Anglers caught their 5 fish bag.
