Round 6 of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was at Wimbleball reservoir, high on Exmoor near Brompton Regis.
Weather forecast was generally cloudy with the odd bit of sun and light showers 17 degrees with a moderate North Westerly wind.
12 anglers made the trip, having stopped for breakfast at Brewers Fayre in Exeter on the way.
We were met at the lake by Mark who sorted out the boats and lifejackets for us and we were out on the water by 0920.
Wimbleball is 375 acres in size and 6 boats soon went to all areas of the lake to fish but by the end of the day all boats were in the deeper water in the Dam area.
Fish were only caught by the Dam, fishing deep using mainly DI5 or DI7 lines with Damsels, Blobs and Green snakes.
12 Anglers caught just 13 fish for a bag weight of 45lbs 8oz
1 Angler caught their 5 fish bag.
5 anglers failed to catch.
Average catch was 1.08
