Round 6 of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was back at Clatworthy high up in the Brendon Hills near Wiveliscombe.
After a breakfast stop at Brewers Fayre in Exeter 12 anglers made the trip to Clatworthy.
We were met at the lake by Danny Ford, Wessex Ranger for tickets, tips and advice.
Weather forecast was light to moderate westerly wind with heavy showers expected. The first hour of the day was wet, then the sun came out by mid day and stayed dry for the rest of the day.
Best area of the Lake was in the Dam area by the boils.
Best tactics were Floating and Intermediate lines with Black lures and orange blobs fished fairly fast.
Best fish of the day was 3lbs 15oz caught by Richard Berrisford of Plymouth followed by Gerry Scutt of Brixham at 3lbs 14oz.
12 anglers caught 53 fish for a bag weight of 150lbs 3oz
9 anglers caught their 5 fish limit
Average catch 4.42
Average weight 2.83lbs
