Round 6 of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was back at Clatworthy Boats high up in the Brendon Hills near Wiveliscombe.
After a breakfast stop at Brewers Fayre in Exeter 13 anglers made the trip to Clatworthy.
Weather forecast was expected to be showery, possibility of thunder with warm sunshine. The forecast was correct and we had some torrential showers and after a few minutes the sun came back out. Wind was variable but mostly from the SW.
The lake was only a few feet down compared to last year when is was 20-30 ft down, what a difference!
During the day we were joined by deer happily munching by the waters edge, totally oblivious to the boats going up and down.
13 anglers caught 19 fish for a bag weight of 48lbs 4oz.
Average catch was 1.46
Average weight was 2.54lbs
2 anglers caught their 5 fish limit and 4 anglers failed to catch.
Best fish of the day went to John Hern 3lbs 12oz, Chris Bolt 3lbs 2oz, Peter Brown 3lbs.
