Snowbee Top Rod Competition June 8th - Kennick Bank

Round 5 of the Snowbee Top Rod Competition was at Kennick today.


Kennick was looking a picture with the Rhododendrons coming out in their full pink colour.


Kennick is still full and water overflowing on the dam.


Weather was 16 degs with a light NW wind with sunny spells.


12 anglers made the trip and after booking in from 0815-0830, it was walk on from 0900 then fishing from 0930-1630 with the weigh in at 1700.


Fish were caught in all areas of the reservoir and there were a few coch y bonddu beetles flying about.


Best tactics were, Floating line with small nymphs and dries.


6 anglers caught their 5 fish limit.


12 anglers caught 43 fish for a bag weight 76.9lbs


Average catch 3.58


Average weight 1.78lbs


Biggest Fish - Peter Brown 3lbs 4oz
