After the August break we were back at Clatworthy, high up in the Brendon Hills, near Wiveliscombe for Round 7 of the Snowbee Top Rod Competition.
After breakfast at Brewers Fayre in Exeter on the way we were met at the lodge by Danny Ford ( Clatworthy Ranger ) who organised the tickets and gave out tips and advice on best locations to fish.
Weather was cloudy with just a couple of spots of rain with a temperature of 19 degrees and a light SE wind.
10 anglers made the trip and caught a total of 40 fish.
6 anglers caught their 5 fish limit.
Average Catch - 4.0
Average weight - 2.83lbs
Best Fish of the day, Chris Bolt 4lbs, Peter Brown 3lbs 12oz, Alex Venn 3lbs 8oz, Darren Penfold 3lbs 8oz, Mike Steer 3lbs 8oz, Tom Hendy 3lbs, Rob Gale, 3lbs and John Hern 3lbs.
Fish were caught on Floating Lines with Diawl Bachs, Nomads, Hot Head Damsels and Dries being the best patterns.
